Ok, so I have never been the parent to not make my kids cake, not make homemade invitations, not spend hours cleaning my house so that all my friends who have seen it normally will say, "WOW, your house is so clean." I am the mom who goes all out usually with some theme and some sort of fancy cake that I spent hours making and have hand cramps because of, I just like it that way. I want my girls to know that I cared about their birthdays and spent time (usually more than needed) on planning and executing the perfect party.
This year that mom is gone. I hired out or outsourced or whatever they call it. I paid someone else to do it all, and I am exceptionally happy about that decision. Now granted, it was a bit hard to let go and let the hostess do her job, but I did and I enjoyed it. We had a wonderful time watching the kids run about, played a few air hockey and ping pong games, enjoyed a little Wii bowling and then spent the rest of the time on the comfy couches enjoying adult conversation. It was wonderful. The place you wonder...Not chuck e cheese, NO WAY! It was this wonderful little place called Rafiki that boasts healthy snacks, 100% juice, no soda and pretend play abounds. There is more than you can imagine in this place. In an entire day I don't think they could play with all of the things that are there. All in all it was a wonderful, fun, stress free, enjoyable day. I even wore make-up to this party, something that usually doesn't happen for me on birthday days.....ahhhhhhhh
Oh yeah, it was Olivia's 5th Birthday! She had a great time and enjoyed the day immensely. All her best friends and family were able to attend. Pictures attached....
