Kindergarten is almost done....but wait, here comes another one

I cannot believe that there are only two days left of kindergarten.  Today we were able to go to Sydney's class to watch her perform her "feat of strength"  Each child chose a skill that they felt they were great at and then would perform it for the class.  Sydney's was to play the guitar.  Although she was a bit shy and you could barely hear her, her heart to sing and perform is still the same.  As she practiced last night I was reminded of how amazing her voice really is and how, if she wants to, she can really go somewhere with a voice like that.  It has been a very exciting year of kindergarten and I am so excited to watch her grow.  She is reading like crazy now, everything she sees.  She writes in her journal on a daily basis and writes stories and song lyrics as well.  I am very pleased with all that she has learned and we really love her school and her teacher.  Fortunately for us, her teacher will be Olivia's teacher in the fall, when we then have another kindergartner.  It really is a crazy and exciting thing watching my babies grow up.  We will post some more pictures and crazy happenings over the summer, but for now, we are closing the book on our kindergarten chapter for Sydney!  WhooHoo! First grade here we come!
